These are reversible aprons. They are made from those printed panels you can buy at your local fabric store. Only those panels are too thin to make a really useful apron. Please ignore that wet spot on the apron - it had rained the night before I took these shots.
I'm a fine arts artist but I'm also a lifelong sewer and apron lover. A creative type, I'll try most any craft. I crochet, knit, and do beading as well.
In the real world, I'm an engineer, which gives me insight into construction and design of my aprons.
Dovie was my grandmother. I have several of her apron patterns from the 40's and 50's. My mother contributed a few of hers from the 50's as well. So it seems only fitting that when I started making aprons, I would use Grandma as my inspiration.
